Maria Walzer, piano,

was born in Moscow as Maria Raszwetaeva and had her artistic training with Alexandr Maikapar and Alexandr Sobolev in Moscow, Irina Zaritskaya in London, and completed it with Paul Badura-Skoda and Oleg Maisenberg in Vienna. She won several international prizes. As a child she started giving concerts in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, and from 1992 on she gave concerts in Austria, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Italy and Turkey.

Paul Badura-Skoda described her as "... creative talent, as only very rarely found ... in her playing, she combines outstanding musicianship with virtuoso technique and the finest sense of style."

1992: Promotion Award of the European Board of Trustees of .A.Mozart prize / Goethe-Stiftung, Basel.
1993: First prize at the London ARCM Competition "Concerto Trials.
1995: Prize winner at the International Piano Competition in Isernia, Italy.
1998: Fellow of the Global Foundation for Research and Scholarship.

Numerous solo performances, among them:
XIII. Chopin Festival, Gaming Kartause, Vienna Festival Weeks, ORF - Main Hall, Castle Grafenegg; Kunstforum Vienna - Palais Ferstel; Salzburg Mozarteum and Bösendorfer Hall in Vienna, Munich Gasteig, Incontri Musicali - Stagione Concertistica Milano / Italy, Randers, Denmark; Thoover - Concerts/Belgium; broadcast recordings in Austria and Denmark.
